About Us

Island nostalgia baked into every layer.

I was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, surrounded by the scents of spice, sweetness, and home. Not long after, my family moved to London, England, where I grew up carrying those early memories with me—especially through my parents’ cooking. Sri Lankan food was our constant: vibrant, comforting, and deeply rooted in tradition. It was how our culture stayed close, no matter how far we were from the island.

Those flavours followed me across the world once more, this time to the east coast of Canada. While I found community there, the food I had grown up loving was hard to come by—so I began baking.

What started as a way to reconnect with home soon found a wider audience. As more people in the community tasted these flavours and grew to love them, something meaningful took shape. Inspired by Colombo, Jaffna, and the kitchens of my childhood, this is where the business grew—and where the journey began.

Today, the aim remains the same: to continue sharing the flavours of Sri Lanka, introducing them to new communities and keeping their warmth, spice, and sweetness alive.
